You can get Nissan to sell you a brand new 370z with sport package for $30k. (I know because I emailed a few dealers yesterday just to see. In DFW there are over 122 sitting on the lots and they are willing to deal in order to move them)

Finance it for 72 months and you'd have a low enough payment.

You can't get a manual transmission in the IS any longer. I think the last model year it was offered was 2012. Additionally, when you actually could get the manual, it was only the IS250, which was a dog.

I'm in a similar position, car goes back this year. Been really debating what I want.

I think I want two cars, I've been hesitant to track a car that I dont really own that would cost me $20k to replace. My plan is to get something "nice" and some sort of track beater.

No idea what at this point, but this is what i'm thinking about right now:

1. Fiesta ST + E36 M3
2. E46 M3 + Miata
3. E46 M3 + E36 M3
4. E91 328xit wagon + E36 M3

I'd say a 3.8 genesis with the track/ultimate pack is a good way to go. Just dont go r-spec.

I'd personally get a 2015 WRX if I were in the same position.

I agree. I've been considering the AP2 as a 5th car. Almost went with a 2006 instead of the FR-S. You can get a really good condition S2K for well under $10K at the moment.

The "kinetic" road feel of the FR-S which is anything short of magical has very few podium partners. Given this price range, in my experience the S2K comes very close, much closer than the miata. Although I have never driven an Elise.

If you financed your car ... the lender owns your car. That is until you make your last payment.

If you pay cash for your car ... you own it outright.

Leasing makes sense for tax purposes if used within a business. I wouldn't lease cars for personal use.

I haven't driven an Elise, but a friend of mine owns an Evora and that's very nice but the supercharged version is better. I've also driven a supercharged Exige and that my friend, is the best handling car I've ever driven in my life.

As already stated in another reply, the bank still owns the car whether you finance or lease until it's paid off.

My car is leased and modded along with plenty of other people so thats an invalid point.

My lease is up in June and I can buy the car if i want...but I also have the option to turn it in and get a brand new car. If i finance the remaining amount Ill end up paying a total of about $1500 more than if I would have financed from the beginning. Maybe it's just me, but that's more than worth it to have that option.

Not sure why youd come into a thread about leasing just to bust on leasing, but your ignorance isnt appreciated.

Buddy, its an opinion.. i dont like the s2k, get over it. and i didnt ask whether a lease is worth it or not. you cant read english? i asked for car suggestions, not opinions on leasing or opinions of my opinion on s2k..
furthermore, leasing isnt a good financial option, sure, but it works for me currently.

I test drove the evo today, great car, classless dealerships, bad mpg which can make commutes a bit bad. but VERY fun car
my payments are about the same as the frs as well.

going to test drive the lexus next, rc350. m235 is out of the list, terrible rates. and something from subaru as well

meh let him be. he seems hard headed, maybe he cant afford it haha. If you have the extra money, why not. i save up plenty if money while i lease, im not living on a paycheck to paycheck either. Have you decided on what to do after the lease?
