For $1600 the rebuild from jacks transmission looks to be a good working over. Total all in $3-3500 for a beefed up R154? Yes please.

Which Tremec?

First off, the 6060 is the same thing as the 56 Mag.
Both of those trannies will be fine at 7500, whereas the TKO, the T5 and even the older T56 (to an extent) will not!

**** it, who wants an auto 3 speed that will support anything under a jet engine?

TKO is not 5k.

The 56mag WILL FIT and with relatively minor modifications. Please stop telling people that it doesnt fit.

And, the magnum can be had for 2800 whichnis an absolutely fantastic deal.

Bellhousing would have to be manufactured of course, as well as shifter, etc. etc.

All modifications a person should be comfortable with - long before partaking in this conversation.

Depending on if you're willing to get a gear set made from another company.

Just looking at the spread....

Not too far off from our 1st and 6th.

Im finding 4 (somewhat) useable gears in our trans lacking.

Whos going to make a spray bar with a cooler kit?

That should getus an extra 75lb/ft on our trans??

The tko is 2+k. Then it has to be sent to liberty gear so it will shift at our rpm. Then you need a custom bellhousing, shifter, crossmember, a new clutch disk and a new slave cylinder from Don sumerton. Out the door price was 5.5k $ me doing the installation myself.

....so I still like the beefed up R154 option. Is the bell housing the same for the V160 as the R154? Or would @FullBlown need to make an R154 converstion too?

bellhousing bolt pattern is the same with a JZ R154, not the same with a 7M R154 but the bellhousing is removable.
