Aaaaand *bump.* Its nearing time for me to purchase my new summer/just for summer tires. I'll welcome any new opinions!

My common sense would tell me to install any normal performance tyre you like brand/model/price wise (if hard to choose, then google for -insert current year- best not uber sized not ultra speed rating but normal summer tire roundup), except if it is of more grip & wider thread width then prius primacies, then of 205/45ZR17 size (to keep similar oversteer-ish fun, yet cheaper), if similar grip & thread width, of stock 215/45ZR17 size.
My choice for myself would be PSS 205/45ZR17, but it might not fit best all your needs or by their order for you, longetivity/price wise. |

I have been meaning to update, but I ended up going with the Dunlop Direzza DZ102, based on professional recommendations and the fact that I got a hell of a deal on them (~$500 mounted and balanced). I am very happy with them, although I have noticed the expected drop in mpg. That said, great tire in the dry and wet, I'd recommend them.

I just bought Falken FK-452's for $225CAD each ($190USD?). Is this price considered a cheap performance tire? I was looking at Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3's but my vendor didn't carry them. Online reviews for the FK-452 seem to be very good. I've only ever driven on stock primacys. I haven't received the Falkens yet. So... yea, this is kind of a useless post I guess
But it's another option to look into! I would love to hear from anyone who has tried these tires.
