My installer didn't catch me watching him, I have to admit, very sneaky!
I was informed of the fob battery, but not the 6V lantern in the car. I'll have to email LoJack about that and see if my dealer will work something out.

I take back the battery comment, the one I saw my installer use looked like a lantern battery back in '06. I just checked and the new batteries are smaller -> might be proprietary unless you can open them up and swap the Li ion batteries.

Hope the dude gets his ride back, but sorry to say this is Darwinism 101...

In all seriousness though, leaving ur keys in the car is a fail. However noone is safe from flatbeds. LoJack helps but it can be found. 4 cars got swiped in the same night from westlynn via flatbeds including a GTR with LoJack. Still haven't seen the GTR so I'm assuming its stripped to the frame or cut up.
I don't know if they're still active in our area, but a few years ago that MO was popular with Russian organized crime. They'd target high end cars and flatbed them to a waiting container and within a day they'd be on a ship bound for Europe or Asia.

It's not Darwinism. Darwinism is some sort of trait that allows you to reproduce more than the others who do not have the trait.

And if you're going off "Survival of the Fittest" - That's Spencer.

The more you know....

Ah, I see. I think the newer fobs are user servicable. My LoJack papers recommended me changing the battery yearly and gave the size for the battery IIRC.
