I have some of my decals (grimmspeed, raceseng, yospeed, etc) on the inside of my trunk lid. They aren't visible on the road, but if someone is checking out the car at a meet & greet or something, it's a great way to promote companies - especially smaller ones that are supporting your vehicle's aftermarket presence. I love that there are multiple companies that specialize in the 86, and I want to support them if I can.

I put stickers on my car to express myself and upset other people.

And if it upsets anyone, boohoo.

Two ways to look at this conundrum:
If one is a qualified NASCAR owner or driver, for instance, it pays to have as much decals as possible on the vehicle or even on one's clothes. How about golf professionals and their hats? They all EARN IT!

If one doesn't get paid there are all the various reasons already offered in this thread from other posters. Take your pick. Do you earn it or does the product manufacturer earn it? Either way, it doesn't hurt the manufacturer to try a little advertising. If they are willing to offer a decal they must have some self-assurance that they have a good product.

I put small Mann Engineering stickers on my rear quarter windows because I liked their business a lot and wanted to give them some free promotion.

I might get one of these for the rear window as a little joke:

I'm personally somewhere in the middle. I won't be putting supplier stickers over my car, but I do plan on SOME decals on the car to give it some character. I'm thinking something Firefly-related that isn't tacky (no massive hood art) that would be in better keeping with an artful track machine.

And some folks really ARE sponsored by some folks for certain events and they just keep the stickers on.
Get/make a Blue Sun licence plate frame, lol.

Stickers are not really a ricer phenomenon. A lot of muscle car guys used to fill their windows with stickers as a way to display their build and support boutique parts manufacturers, and a lot of the offroad guys still do it.

Every performance part for my Jeep build has come with a sticker. I personally don't like stickers on my cars, but I also think it's a shame to waste them, so I was thinking of putting them all on the underside of the hood. But if I were to put them in the windows for all to see, I don't think they could really be considered "rice."

I've done a couple of stickers in the past, but never the big roll call or something like that. Most of the time to support a website I'm on, really.

I did put a NOS sticker on my Mustang though, back in the day. It got people to stop wanting to race me all the freaking time.

Anyone know where I can get a F86club.com decal? I searched through the threads but got a ton of broken links & a lot of unhappy customers for the 'official' decal from months ago. I'd like either something similar to that design, or just a small decal of the forum title bar image where it says

Thanks.

On motocross bikes it looks cool (a bare bike looks ridiculous and like you're not maintaining it... and most graphics kits are covered with sponsor logos). Not so much on cars unless you're sponsored.

I put the Tein badge on my rear where the Toyota dealer sticker used to be (bottom left).
I'm sure I'll get tired of it and take it off at some point though.
