Where are you wiring the 12V + switched?
I'm so sorry I did not see this before....

Connecting to chassis ground, and the in car fuse box has an open slot that I used with an add-a-fuse for 12V

Rear O2 sensor stays connected, the only thing cut is the blue cable.

I'm using the passenger ECU wiring harness loom grommet, making a small slit with a razor and sliding the AEM harness through. (As well as the 0-5V output wire, which will need to go into the engine bay.)
I used the passenger ECU harness too.

I want to reference this thread for our FT86 Turbo Kit thread, as there will be several DIY'ers, and I'd like to clearly lay out the install path.

You might want to get a low profile version instead, like either of these two:

Our cars use the low profile mini fuse.

Need this type of add a fuse: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-Low-Pro...item23315fcc74

See pic below. The slot BETWEEN 10A DRL AND 10A TAIL is available and its ignition 12V.

Just trying to confirm and a bit confused. Here you say splice, typically splicing implies that you would keep the wire intact, and simply add the new wire to the same unbroken circuit.

But early on in this post

You said you cut the blue wire and connected the new (white) wire. This sounds like you broke the circuit and left it open on the sensor side.

Can we agree that all we are actually doing is splicing into the blue o2 sensor wire with the wideband (white wire for AEM) output, and not cutting the wire in half?

Also, if thats the case, why go into the engine bay when you can simply do that at the ecu in the harness plug?

Thanks!

I'm really sorry for the confusion... I cut the cable in two leaving the circuit in the sensor open. I onestly don't know if splicing would work, but my guess is that you don't want the Rear O2 signal interfering with the Wideband signal.

You can do it at the ECU connector also, I just didn't want to cut the OEM harness.

For those that have done this mod, can you tell me, will you get a check engine light and misc codes thrown initially? Thinking this is normal until i have the new tune with the updates to take this into account?

I have done the wiring, but wont have the new tune until i get the car to my tuner this weekend. Cant imagine there is any harm with the CEL, but wanted to confirm.

Yes you will definitely get codes if you haven't updated the tune.
