I skimmed through the replies to the OP's question and I'm not sure this was mentioned yet but something doesn't add up...
If the BRZ seller went to Carmax he could get more than he is asking for it on Craigslist so that leads me to believe that the car might be SUSPECT. Just my opinion.

He just implied that the car has been smashed into. Now he said he needs to save some money, and the car is currently still under manufacturers warranty. I would test drive it to the dealership and check to see if they still cover that car. Because several things could be in the way.

1. This is a sports car, so he may have modded it too much and voided everything under the sun. So now the car has problems and he does not feel like dealing with it.

2. Car fax is a fake practically. I did a car fax on my own car. Mine had several repairs and 1 car accident, none of them showed up on it. Don't even bother pulling it up unless you want to waste your time a bit.

3. A Pro to this is that I am near fort hood. People sell there stuff recklessly cheap here because they are going overseas for prolonged periods of time. Sometimes the excuse really is the legit excuse. But that is something you have to tell by the persons face when you see them.

4. A Pro / Con is that its just the radiator of what he implied. So that means the rest of the car should be intact. There is also a possibility that the whole car has problems from the accident but the insurance avoided the other ones as they said that it was not part of the accident. So due to that, the whole car could be screwey. Just putting it out there on what you need to do.
