Would you though if the 4 door was substantially different with minor cosmetic differences to the front of the car, major changes backwards of the A pillar and running a sports hybrid powerplant? Knowing how Toyota operate they will give it a different name as well.

I definitely wouldn't mind. (relatively) Lightweight, RWD, 6 speed, ok passenger space, decent gas mileage, and not a luxury brand? I would be totally in, as long as they could maintain the driving character.

I say the more models the merrier. Though i think that their time would be better served making the convertible and/or the shooting brake.

I would much rather see a convertible or a shooting brake.

I agree with that the 4-door will diminish the credibility of the current FR-S / BRZ

Nope. It should only EVER have 2 doors. The second you start messing with the wheelbase it just ruins it for me. This just looks wrong. I can see, and would actually love to see, a shooting brake version, but with the same wheelbase and only 2 doors.

Also, I understand people saying "more versions are better because more people will buy it" but personally I like the exclusivity factor. I never want to see these cars become as prevalent as say, the Mustang or Civic.

I'm sure Toyota would love that though, but we all want it to remain somewhat exclusive and not overly common.

I'd like to see a "shooting brake" version also. Think it would help with the market that only want hatches and give them a good RWD platform.
