Here's an example of the types of clutch/steel plate upgrades they make (in this case, for the EvoX MR, currently what I'm running in my car holding tons of power all day with no slip whatsoever):

07+ Evo uses the Twin Clutch SST auto tranny though right? I think made by Getrag, those things are built tough! Cool that SSP offers a 600 hp upgrade. I wonder what horsepower rating SSP will offer for the twins seeing that we don't have a dual clutch system.

It should probably be able to handle quite a bit of power. It will require slapping a big turbo on a built engine and push it to the limits

I thought the auto transmission has a cooler or is this an upgrade for that?

Yes, it has a small heat exchanger on the side of the transmission.

so I'm a newb to the AT, so higher stall with this upgraded torque converter only benefits launch and that's it? Or does it make the tranny stronger for higher HP's?

I am going FI soon, and I really want to rebuild my AT to withstand the added power, and if possible, to shift faster/less slip. I am planning on installing a tranny cooler as well. What else do I need, if my goals are ~350whp/260tq?

So question as I look at radiator upgrades. The koyo keeps the OEM tranny cooling ability while the mishimoto does not. Is there a point where cooling becomes too much, or is the Koyo better for its cooling ability added with a tranny cooler?

Goals for the car are ~200whp NA (91 pump, no e85) with upgraded heads down the road. Car sees plenty of canyons on the weekend and will be seeing a lot of autox and occasional track time ( maybe 1-2 hpde a year). I live in N. CA so in the winter temps can be in the 20s in the morning, but during most drive times it is at least 50F while hitting 100+ in the summer

There's going to be a couple awesome things out soon. Clutches, etc. SSP tests their parts quite extensively so give them a bit of time, but good things to come!

Question on the stall convertor.
With the increase of 500-700 rpm, knowing the Benefit of better launches. How does it all affect daily driving? Would I have more jack rabbit style launches etc.
Always had manuals.
