Glad you found a direction that works for you. I went another way (see post above) and it looks Pimp as fuck IMO.

Here's what I did:
Black + Glossifier = Radio surround, Dash trim, Shifter surround
Black + Chrome wrap = HVAC "bars" (black on front, chrome on interior sides facing the HVAC knobs).
Anthracite + Glossifier = Door handle trim, Vent surround

End result unifies many of the different shades of black in the car into just two. The anthracite pieces break up what would be a sea of black in a very subtle way. The small bit of chrome brings the chrome from the door handle pulls and upper vent tabs down into the interior.

All that is left for me is to address the brushed chrome on the steering wheel Scion badge. Pics soon.

Tip 1) Put on at least 4 coats of PlastiDip per trim piece so it is thick enough to peel off later.

Tip 2) If you let the PlastiDip cure 1 day before washing the car it will last forever. Mine has been washed cleaned multiple times with no signs of wear whatsoever.
Thanks for the tips that will be the route I'll take. it sounds more cost effective for my budget. Can't wait to see the pics.

well I gave it a go on the door handles and came across the same issue just too many wrinkles on the edge so right now I'm holding off on the chroming. I'll have to find someone that can do it right or find that part at a good price somewhere. ah so bummed

Well tried the Plasti Dip on the dash pieces and messed it up but no big deal just peeled it off and tried this Black out wrap and it came out pretty good.

Here it is installed couple of spots with a blemish but not bad.
