Thanks ML. I bought and put together two of these this morning. Went in Harbor Freight with the intention of spending 10$ on one and two fittings. Walked out spending 54$ worth of stuff...damn that place!!!!!

Real catch cans are much more effective, they don't restrict the PCV system as this one does and of course, they offer better aesthetics and much more capacity.

Still, some people have been running these modified air compressor filters for years now. I chose to make my own Saikou Michi knock-off from a $25 ebay catch can instead. Took 2 hours and $5 in extra materials.

Nice. Thats the one I ordered last night with the intent of modifying it. It was one of a few cheap ones that could be opened up.

Thanks. It's a nice starting point for a top-notch DIY catch can.

I'm pretty sure this will work..there was a bit of oil inside the oem hose. I left in the brass filter but drilled a lot of 1/16 holes on one side of it facing away from the inlet tube. I do believe there needs to be some sort of screen/filter in there. I also sealed up the bottom drain so that no oil can drip from it.
Anyway, super-simple mount. One zip tie at the eyelet on the intake manifold.

I tried one of these a while ago. You can put stainless mesh on the inside to help give the oil some thing to stick too
