@zephyr69 I just measured my battery and the width is 170mm. Centre of clamp hole to clamp hole is 200mm.

Can you tell me please how wide your battery is and distance between the clamp holes as well as what you think the max width of a battery would be that will fit between the clamp?

Also be useful to know the height of your battery.

I hear that here in NZ they supply the cars with huge batteries by international standards.

And the OEM tail lights are a bit ugly in my opinion so I decided to go with smoked crystal eye tail lights that fit better with my panda style coloring of the car.

You should also definitely install the TRD Carbon Aero Front Fender Fins. They give the car a much more aggressive stance. Every single person I've met during my late night drives have complimented them. A bit of carbon on the exterior definitely spices things up a bit.

It's been really cool meeting a lot of different car owners over the course of two months since I've owned this car. Couple of my friends own cars like lambo lp-560, aston martin vanquish, c63 amg black series. But they still think the TRD 86 is really sleek looking and alot of fun to drive.
Just got a modellista shark fn n your advice to replace my beatsonic one. I'm hoping the reception will be better and I like the longer sharper shape.

Install instructions look complicated compared to the beatsonic and they are in Japanese damn it. Hope I don't screw it up.

You haven't got English instructions have you?

Good choice! haha. Reception shouldn't be an issue..although I usually just listen to my ipod and not the radio lol. It doesn't come with an english instruction unfortunately, i had my installed by my garage upon purchase.

I found this post tho..hope its helpful.

Hi there, didn't want to start a new thread, so posting here. Sorry for the thread highjack.

I'm currently in hk for vacation, does anyone know where shops are that sell gt86/frs parts? I'm primarily looking for cosmetic stuff. Particularly jdm led headlights. Where are the shops?

Thanks!

Hey man. Welcome to Hong Kong haha. JDM headlights huh...hmmm..Let me give you a couple of tuner shops that I know of. If you're looking for the JDM headlights, your best bet is really finding them online. Give these shops a try though, they might be able to help. Loong Wah is where I get ALL my stuff purchased and installed. They are basically Hong Kong's 86 specialty tuning shop lol. Top Racing is highly recommended too.

Haha really don't have that much money. 86 is my only car for now since I just started working about 2 years ago..still trying to save up but its hard cause i keep dumping money on this car. Just spent like $4000 on a kreissieg exhaust. lol...so im taking a break right now...next thing ill probably get is a dry carbon roof replacement and maybe switch out the TRD rims for TWS TF-66 ones just like the TRD Griffon. That will be quite some time later tho..

really reluctant on doing anything to the engine right now..since I'm not really interested in FI..really want to keep it NA. Hopefully there will be something interesting soon haha.
