I have done 3-4 track days with that combo (RBF600 and DS2500 with stock brakes). The stock tires aren't grippy enough to put too much heat on the brakes so you will be fine.

My one Mazda Friend may be interested. May have another Mazda friend with his turbo'd MX6 that he is setting up that may be interested as well (pending if he has it running sometime at all in the next 1000 years!)

Awesome! I've never tracked my car before but it sounds like I may want to replace my brake fluid and pads?

As a novice with a stock car, the brakes and pads should be fine for your first day. If you get hooked on it like crack as we did back in 2002, you will definitely want to look at some upgraded tires and brakes and a flush before your second event.
