I've seen this, but only at large Subaru meets or events where many similar subies showed up. If there are 12 WRB bugeyes at a track day, it does help to differentiate for spectators and photos. Never seen anyone keep it, or use it in the wild.

That said, I don't understand the animosity. It's not like people are going to sneak up and put it on your car while you sleep. I much prefer seeing something like this to hellaflush wheels and tires that don't fit the rim. At least this doesn't do anything to diminish the car's usefulness, unless you're planning to use it as a getaway vehicle. Even then, you could pull the stripes off after you escape.

You are absolutely right I am afraid that while I am asleep and my car is outside someone will vinyl me..I mean that is my worse fear right there

There isn't any animosity whatsoever ...nice try at a big word .

Yet another vituperous response, and no hint of explanation. My apologies if you find my vocabulary offensive. I wasn't trying to intimidate you with "them college words".

Why does this concern you, and why are you so bitter?

College words I am glad you think you know my educational background and for what it was worth my last reply was laden with sarcasm.

I don't care about the "stripes" it just seems that when I am out an about I have seen Subarus with them more and move and some Cobalts along w/ other misc. cars.

Your conjecture is misguided. You seem like an intelligent guy, just acrimonious.

I haven't ever seen em on anything but a Vette. That said, I don't think they look bad.

The hash marks came standard on the 96 grand sport corvette, so it's not a JDM wannabe. I don't think they look bad, Im actually considering putting a set on my Frs, but not sure. I just want something to set apart from the rest of the pack.

I haven't really seen it on Subarus, but usually on Corvettes, and not just Grand Sports.

There is actually quite a bit of history with the Grand Sport moniker for vettes. I'd chuckle if I saw one on a non-vette, much like i would if I saw an M badge on a non-BMW.

That said, I understand Grand Sport and the stripes isn't exclusive to vettes, but I'd just my background.
