Unfortunately Scion/Toyota will not be able to do anything. Scion is pure pricing, which means the dealership has to sell all of their cars at the same price. The price can change from dealership to dealership.

What you should really do, is go to another dealership in the area, find the price of one. Take a picture, and then go speak to the general manager of the dealership you signed at and ask why you are paying a 3,000 markup for the same car. If you act professional, calm, maybe go with an adult your chances of getting the financing and paperwork redone are pretty good.

Good luck.

This is 100% false. In CA if you sign a buyers agreement the car is yours whether you pick it up or not.

Ok, it is different in Florida, sorry.

What if you sign and they take a year to get you the car? Can you get out then?

I am not sure what the law would consider a reasonable amount of time, but I am sure a year would be unreasonable.

Florida I believe is 72 hours after delivery you can return the car, but I am not 100% sure.

Hell, I know of places that put $2500 markups on Mazdas. Fing Mazdas!!!
I know I'm trying to learn and correct this problem before its permanent, if not I'm going to end up with no FRS and wait another couple months....

If you have not taken the car home, ITS NOT YOURS. And when did you sign everything? If this was within 2 days, go back and CANCEL. You can buy a FR-S, drive away with it, and you still have 2 days to return it.

I don't think there's a cooling off period on Cars in California (or anywhere anymore.)

I do think the OP should go discuss this with the sales manager and ask to void it and for his deposit back. That's where he should be starting...

There is a cooling off period, 100%. Or, take it back and say you want extra's like a trunk mat, and the bespoke system, and to re-write it.. When they tear the original contract, back out.
Either way, you can still return it if it's within 2 days.

But right now double checking with my buddy who works at Toyota/Scion in Daly City. Might vary depending on dealership?
