From memory, there's plenty of space down there, worse case a small hole and slit in the vertical panel between the frame rail and metal underpan. 100% sure there's space on the pass side, and should be space on the drivers said also.

Nope, slide right in near the brake hard line, no mods required.

Super busy with supercharger stuff and being down a coworker. (wedding) Yes, every R1/R2 is dyno tested before they ship to the customer. These things ride extremely well on the street, even with 400lb springs front and rear. a single click on rebound or compression makes a massive difference. Pretty sweet, I am still working on dialing them in. Went to a 255 tire and they are much less communicative then my 225's were... I'll post more later.

I'd be interested in seeing a race between the Tein SRC and the Eibach R2.

Well Mike is gonna be faster then most people on stock dampers then most would be with any of the whiz bang fancy stuff... That said, If I had to wager a guess, I would say that he would dig the R2's in this application. Super plush and oh so easy to tune and customize for spring rate and valving.

Same car, same driver, same tires, swap the coils and run laps = problem solved

temperatures and stuff change too much though and too much set up required you can't go wrong with any of the above mentioned coilovers.

If you guys supply the cars, I'll supply the tires. I'm down to do a back-to-back test!

In consideration of time, I'd ask that each car be set up to what the manufacturer believes to be ideal for damping, as well as alignment.

I'm thinking the spec tire should be 225 RS3. We can draw straws to see which car goes first.

If you want to make it double blind, make the cars identical colors, and blindfold me until I'm in the car, so that I don't know what suspension I'm driving on (although I'll probably be able to guess once I start driving).

If we both ever end up at the same track I'm game

Assuming spec alignment... Whoever set the dampers up better. Assuming mike can tune them to his liking... Who the hell knows.
