I would say that the farther in the less flex will be an issue. There's also heat related expansion to consider though. I've seen an EVO at the track have wheel to caliper contact when it never did on the street, no real damage but the owner was confused by it, whether he did something wrong (side loading impact for example) or it was just heat/flex I'm not sure.

Either way, 2mm is enough and there looks to be even more than the 2mm available here so it should be fine anyways. I think Brembo says 3mm though. Either way, with that measurement from Jeremy I'd rock it until they hit
Wish we had less crappy weather up here so we could rock them now... lol

I'm really excited to get on track with these things ASAP which is probably 30 days out still atleast.

Didn't Wilwood say that they're coming out with a BBK that clears stock wheels/tires? Or am I talking out of my @$$ right now?

Definitely interested. The AP systems are the current forum b*ner (for good reason!), and Brembo has yet to offer a normal-sized system. Myself and others are probably considering Wilwood due to the stock wheel clearance, occasional track capability, future-turbo support, and very reasonable price point.

Thanks for including us in the experiment!

Jeremy, Yo,

THanks for posting all this very informative information! We greatly appreciate your dedication to the community.

I skimmed over this thread and I didn't see this question. I know the AP kit doesn't have dust boots. The wilwoods don't appear to have them in your pictures. Will you confirm this?

Thanks,
Victor

Just an FYI guys, and no intent to hijack...we are also selling an AP Racing system that clears stock wheels, has dust boots, and is a killer track upgrade as well. It is available as a front-only, or four wheel system. You can see details in this thread. Thanks.

The Wilwoods do fit with the stock wheels.

The Wilwoods do not have boots from what I can tell.

Has anybody had any on track experience with the wilwoods yet? Just wondering whether not having any anti knockback springs has created any issues?
