because i know you don't mean you need a turbo to race because thats just silly. maybe you mean you need more power to contend which is also silly. the original 86 had what 87hp and look where it went.

plus everyone knows all you need to do to be a race car is have a giant spoiler.

Not sure, but if it's something in current WRX/STI, it's EJ.

Here's my obligatory, yes new gen turbo mill has been in the works since 2007. My birdie, which has been accurate this whole time said it's slated for Q3 2013.

If Toyota is offering a supercharger then Subaru has a big reason to offer a turbo. Think about it.

You sir just blew my mind away. That and I can't sleep because of this rumor about a turbo coming up. Might have to rethink of buying a BMW or an Audi for a while. One thing will lead to another, first come the turbo then come the separation of the contract between Subaru and Toyota which will lead to Subaru re-modifying their BRZ into a BAZ. The "A" is for AWD again. This is just my speculation though, as I know that this can't happen in real life, but one can dream.

This car is built to be rear wheel drive, it would take too much modification and $$ to make it awd. From a company perspective it's not worth it. Besides, that's what WRXs are for.

I'll be happy with a serious RWD turbo coupe. S16 or BRZ, whatever comes first.

I thought Toyota were calling the engine 4U-GSE ? Does that mean that Subaru are calling what is exactly the same engine in the BRZ by a different name, FA20 ?

Have I misunderstood?

It's so funny how people ask for AWD while making RWD seem like it's FWD. The most elite drivers cars is RWD and yes I know that AWD have the quickest straight line performance cars out there. RWD>AWD>FWD

The engine is a Subaru engine, so they can call it whatever they want. It is based off the FB20 engine design.
