Like any "sporty" car with a large aftermarket, rice will always follow.
Gutter drain grills, PVC intakes, flapping lips and body kits, fake carbon fiber hoods and trunks (AKA Seibon), Vinyl Carbon Fiber roofs, Spoilers larger than the car, exhaust with 5" tips, racing seats and roll cages in cars that never see a track, decals, all over the car, limo tint, multicolor LEDs, skater/Tap out stickers, RAM air hoods, $400 intakes that make 1HP but raise db by 20, cars with shocks including external reservoirs that cost more than the automatic trans they have, lowered vehicles that can't perform a lock to lock turn without tires blasting the fenders, 4" drop on stock struts/shocks, carbon fiber battery tie downs and 12" sub in the trunk, 20" rims with Kelly all season tires to clear the 6 piston big brake kit, weather strip bumper lips vinyl wrapped. ETC.

yea... I've seen a few people ricing out there cars already. I'm not into that myself. I prefer tasteful mod's, but everyone has their vice! I am hoping the BRZ stays a little more subtle and the FR-S gets loud.

I also don't like some kids who buy used modded cars and think they are the shit. They know about nothing under the hood or the work that went into it... I guess it's attitude more so that I hate. |

I am just glad to see the excitement back. It is like it was back in the Honda days with the aftermarket going crazy for the car. They are making every kind of part imaginable for these cars. It is up to the owners to use them at their own discretion.

Why do people think modifying a car is rice? Its when you start putting on non functional body kits or a huge wing when your car that has no purpose.
Adding some mods to increase power is not rice. Some rims even dropping the car isnt rice either. |

Ive only taken it to the track once. Drag strip. Broke my 350hp axles on my first launch, had to tow it home. I mostly just take it out on the highway and beat on v8s. I finished the car in march of last year, after a 4 or 5 year build. Id like to track it some more, just no more launching until i get some slicks. it spins like crazy which causes too much bounce even with my traction bars. |

I always understood "rice" as being modifications to a vehicle without regards to aesthetic taste or performance.
