Whats the reasoning behind this? I could see why they make uniform amber turn signals but not something comsmetic like a muffler tip.

I actually like everything I see so far. Cheap RWD Sports Car. No complaints here about what Scion is going to offer.

* GAVE US SHIT FRONT LIGHTS

ANY THOUGHTS?

Shitty front lights? well, you do know that in Japan they drive on the left-side right? Therefore we do not get their HID setup yet. But I am sure Toyota N.A will make these available in the following model years. But If you absolutely want HID right away, I can utilize my resources in Japan to get you a set JDM spec headlights as soon as the car is available. Would you like to pay a premium for them??

Toyota could give us the high spec model, but you'd get people complaining about the price.

You can't satisfy everyone so Toyota believes offering the low trim to US customers will yield the highest return. You can't forget that Toyota is a business and thy need to keep heir shareholders happy.

I think it's probably base "tuner" model. You probably can go up-scale. I just want smaller wheels as I will swap stock ones for aftermarket ones.

They are saying that those awful 17's are stock on all models...

I was hoping for 16's on the base model too

What? The reason is cost, and I'm sure it'll be an option. The BRZ will have them after all. Just like all the other JP cars with HID that comes over here day and date with them.

I'm just surprised they didn't go all out: A/C an option, Power Windows an option, and Radio optional, to go for the maximum "track car effect" and actually shave off a few more pounds for who this car is supposed to be designed for anyways.

I wouldn't be surprised if the radio really is optional. Scion's like to do that anyway.

As for power windows, the new units tend to be just as light as crank windows. So designing an entirely separate system for a crank window would be pointless.

That just won't work for most people. There will always be compromises and Toyota believes this will yield the highest sales.

I think many of you think that Toyota created this car for people like us, but in reality, the majority of buyers will probably be your average scion buyer. There's really no point in getting mad over these small things. Just be thankful hat Toyota even brought this car to the US when average US consumer just cares about HP.
