Pretty slick. I do like the look of it.
hope it works out awesome, I've yet to convince myself I need a gaming laptop as most of my trips keep me tied up most of the day anyway and a hacked psp gets me through till I pass out at night lol. It is somewhat wild how the price to build a custom pc is hardly a gain against ordering one for a pretty solid unit anyway. The primary difference really is their pricing on the OS, companies just get it in bulk and get it cheap whereas you're stuck with over $140 for it.

I've just done a few builds for people that have wanted their own and the pricing came out to be very similar between a dell custom build or pre-built machines from stores with similar specs. This is also based on my experience in building low to mid range performance machines though, once you start getting into higher performance parts you can see a clear disparity between building your own and having one made for you.

![]() On a side note, glad to hear it's working out for you. What GPU did it come with? As well as how hot does it get when gaming? I have an HP Envy 17 that has a quad core i7 with hyper-threading, 8 GB DDR3, an HD 5850, and 2 x 320 GB hard drives. The wrist pad area gets extremely warm when I game on it. |

Or what Guff said. There's also that possibility. Could easily be a typo though.

Yea he hit on the nail...my laptop came with 2x4gb so i took one out and added an 8gb thus giving me 12. Gpu i went with a PROCESSOR 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i5-3210M (3MB Cache, up to 3.1GHz w/ Turbo Boost 2.0). I was going to get a 7 and i should of but i wanted to use the extra money and get the SSD and the extra RAM and upgrade graphics card. I ordered another 8gb or ram so ill have 16gb. As far as getting hot i havent gamed on it long yet, maybe 25mins but it was barely warm. This laptop is only going to be used for work and school and something to watch movies, playing games once in a while, and ecutek.
On a side note this thing is heavy as shit tho lol..feel like im carrying my desktop around lol |

Alienware computers sure are pretty, they're just sooooo expensive. Gotta say that I'd jump on one of their chassis if I had the chance at a reasonable price though. It's too bad they don't sell them separately anymore. |
