We both agree that it's the OP's decision; there was never any confusion about that. You make it out like I'm the one selling him his car. I've got nothing at stake here. All I'm trying to do is put him at ease about buying a car with a few miles on it. That's fine if he doesn't want it; it's his money as we've all agreed on, and he's already made his decision to wait. Great! Now can't we all just get along?

go ahead! i'll get you "banned" too,and i don't require you telling me what, or not to do!

like you say, we are all different with differing points of view! thank god for that! factually, this keeps life from being boring! i would request that you refrain from playing amateur physcologist, because, like me,your qualifications
are lacking.i stand by my comments, you read them,if you don't agree,so be it!
Wow, you really utilize exclamation marks in a bizarre manner.
Where did you learn to use the term "lacking"? I think you lack the ability to articulate yourself. And, how do you know my qualifications? You assume that since I am in sales I lack education? No I am not a professional psychologist, that is true. So therefore does that disquallify me from comments?

Stir the pot elsewhere.

i'm just trying to explain my position that's all! if you cannot handle it,then i suggest you either grow a pair,OR go see a "shrink" and get medicated! either way,my comments stand! i don't really care about winning a popularity contest!

It's "not" the tea! It's how you "hold" your pinky finger while "drinking" it!

You mean you're too busy losing brain cells watching our debate to make a smart comeback? LOL, my head hurt after that debate. Whoever wins, don't blame me, I'm from Massachusetts! (electoral college means MA is voting Democrat by default).

Things like this thoroughly entertain me while I am at work and not busy.

Everyone puts in their "opinion" and as soon as someone disagrees with that said "opinion"... BOOM.

Now it becomes a contest of forcing said opinion down the other person's throat.

At some point, one/both party will switch to swearing. One/both parties will resort to attempting the discredit the other party through grammar and spelling (which though I appreciate correct grammar and spelling, it's not really relavant.)

Then, one/both parties will throw out the "expertise" through the process of having X amount of degrees, X amount of experience in building cars, etc etc.

Then it derails where one/both parties try to make snide comments that really have no relevance to the topic/arguement. Then it leads to something completely off-topic where the new snide comment only makes sense to the party that posted it. This infuriates the other party while the rest of the bystanders just scratch their heads and wonder why it even matters or pertains to anything.

Then the whole thread goes off topic... Just ignore them. The guy who tried to argue with me, I just throught "sick. Dude trying to argue with me on the internet. We're clearly going to disagree due to it being an opinion. I'm done." When I stopped responding, he took to PMs. Then when I ignored that, he went away.

--------

Going back on topic, the risk is yours to make. With 79 miles on it, I don't think that there will be too much wrong with it. Though if we assume worst case scenario of grinding gears and keeping the car at redline for all 79 miles, then it could be bad. However, there is a RPM limiter.

My opinion is that you should test drive it and pay very close attention to how the transmission feels and if you hear any weird noises. Don't let the dealership sales person distract you with talking. Just focus on listening and feeling for anything that is out of the norm.

But here is the big key thing that I will say...
If something like this really bothers you, then it will sit there and linger in the back of your mind. In that case, it may be better to wait and just get an "undriven" car. That way you'll have that peace of mind and it won't be nagging you all the time. Of course that's if it bothers you that much.

Cool story bro. The OP already decided; let us duke it out if we need to. BTW, you spelled "relevant" wrong
