Also, the gearing ratio is changing, as I mentioned. You will have a taller effective gearing ratio, so expect worse acceleration. On the other hand, if you wanted lower engine speed at highway cruising, you'll get a bit of that.

I think others have used those sizes but it's not clear to me if they were on stock suspension or not. Size by itself isn't always an indicator of how if will fit. Each wheel model has its own characteristics and I'm not familiar with the Miros. That's an aggressive size to be sure. Back should be okay I think. The fronts are usually what you have to worry about. As well as big brake clearances if you need that.

Someone else reported rubbing with that size but only at full lock. Again, it will depend on the specific tire of course. Some are thicker than others despite the same reported size.

I honestly don't know - I'm not sure what was causing the rubbing. Check the wheel fitment sticky and click on the 18x8.5 / +45 box on the matrix to find the post where someone had that combo. Maybe you can reach out to the OP directly to see what his thoughts were on how to mitigate the rubbing.

Here is my winter setup. I got some 16" Subaru Legacy wheels running 205/60 R16 Bridgestone Blizzaks WS-70. I live in Colorado, and our winters are pretty brutal.

I just placed an order from tirerack for General Altimax Arctic's in 205/55/16 with a set of ghetto fabulous steelies. As much as I dislike winter, this setup has me pretty excited for snow.

If anyone's curious, ran me $710 shipped (mounted and balanced).
