There's NO WAY it would fit and it would be way too heavy for this car, but I miss this motor...

I'm surprised no one said a couple of SR20s but they do pull a premium

No way it would fit, but the 1.6 liter supercharged MINI Would be great. (The 210 HP John Cooper Works version). Plenty of power, nice and easy to modulate power delivery, and nice sound effects.

I'll take the H6 from a 911 turbo. Don't know the engine designation.

The awesome thing about this engine is that it's literally half of an LS7.R, just downsized. Like typical Chevy small blocks, the KMV4 is supposed to be incredibly simple and easy to work on.
i never knew motors like this existed. when the ls1 first came out and i rode in a friend's car, i thought cutting off 2 cylinders would make it a pretty sweet 6 cylinder for the base 4th gen camaro. probably 260-270hp in a v6 in the late 90's wouldve been sweet

Subaru flat6 EZ36D might be interesting. In fact, I like the idea of either of the turbo flat4 OR the NA flat6 engines from Subaru making into some later MY or special version like an STi. Coolest would be if they brought the big guns with a new OEM turbo flat6... One can dream.

I think though the easiest to do in the short term would be an EJ207 or EJ257. I especially like the idea of the EJ207. Those are pretty damn stout.

If money were not an issue any Formula 1 Engine would be the way to go. Crank that to 17K RPM and a magical symphony of teddy bears, unicorns and rainbows will bleed from your ears.

I was just thinking of an Sr20det, seems small enough to fit withouth issue, then again i could be far from right. I also thought of the 20v 4AGE that were swapped into the original 86s. Is is really hard to just throw in an STI motor in? I would think the swap would be almost drop in?

Yes! I totally forgot about the 4A-GE! I'm thinking it would be a fairly easy swap.

From my experience, STi motors are super finicky. I wouldn't be surprised if the swap was just a simple drop-in, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it turned into the swap from Hell.
