I would go with whatever brand name is mentioned most. Motul, AMSOIL, Redline. From all the posts I've seen, AMSOIL and Redline seem to be better when dealing with cold climates. Not saying that Motul is bad, but like I mentioned earlier in the thread, I switched to AMSOIL from Motul and will probably never go back.

There never will be. Personally, I'd leave it stock and enjoy the satisfaction of learning the technique to manage it; basically timing and double-clutching.

Shouldn't need any friction modifiers in our LSD, since it does not use a clutch pack.

As is often the case with manual transmissions it was the nut between the steering wheel and driver seat

Hey, I'll bump this saying,
I skipped the gearbox oil this spring when I was doing my maint because I didn't have enough Amsoil MTG for a full fill. Well I'm on vacation now and decided to sort that out, but the only thing I could get in town was Motylgear 75W90. Yeah, the "cheap stuff" semi synthetic from Motul. Now I'm about 60/40 Amsoil MTG/Motylgear, because I had to mix what little motul I could get with what little amsoil I had left. ... Shift so good god damn. I'm not kidding. I was not expecting this. I'm kinda freaked out. |
