That's pretty neat, it looks like he got a bunch of additional volume and travel out of them Curious to hear what you think when you get around to the first drive.

You and me both and yes the front shock bodies look different. I wonder when he switched it and if it was based off feedback or something.

Maybe I will ask lol

Suspension upgrades have been installed minus the endlinks. Those will be done during the corner balancing/alignment in around 3 weeks.

The installation was fairly straightforward and quick but my girlfriend and I spent hours on the removal of the rusted, crusty old endlinks. It probably would've been easier if I had an angle grinder but had to make do with a dremel and a cut off wheel

I had pretty high hopes for ride comfort with the Shaftworks USA coilovers since it's normally a staple of high end and/or custom shocks and these do not disappoint. The ride is firm but not bouncy or crashy going over speed bumps feels fine as does hitting bigger bumps in the road

My test drives were all pretty brief and under 50mph so I don't have much feedback but so far I am very happy.

For now the car will stay parked until I bring it to LOH motorsports for alignment.

I want to start data logging oil pressure so I decided to expand my Aim solo 2 DL.

712-719 patch lead for the pressure sensor itself
https://www.aimshop.com/products/aim...le-to-female-1

712-712 Male to Female 5 Pin CAN Patch Lead Car(Extension cable for data hub)
https://www.aimshop.com/products/aim...32272145121382

712-712 Male to Female 4 Pin Patch Lead Car(Extension cable for pressure sensor patch lead)
https://www.aimshop.com/products/aim...32272257613926

M18-1.5 to 1/8 NPT Adapter

LOHMotorsports is an Aim dealer so I figured why not order with them. Everything arrived except for the pressure sensor patch lead. When chatting with him today about the alignment he offer to do the install for me so I might just do that.... In the meantime I configured everything in race studio 3.

I'm awfully tempted to buy into the AiM ecosystem, just not as useful for quick review at autocross.

Suspension looks great, neat to see the running improvements Jon has included. Cool that the valving is still comfortable too, haha.

Same! This was back in the solo 1 days would of been a costly mistake.

Jumped on the solo storm bandwagon pretty quickly though. Using that 10hz gps puck and Bluetooth obd2 dongle. I was a pretty early adaptor of the race capture system as well even scored a sponsorship at the time.

Too bad I moved to Ireland like a year later lol. I even emailed them when I got to here about using a RCP if I got into hillclimb(which never happened LOL)

and then you moved about as far as possible from Laguna Seca, haha.

I got into Track Addict in 2016 (?) and then committed to SoloStorm in 2017, finally got RaceCapture in 2019. Ended up learning a lot, haha.

Funny enough before leaving we did a week long road trip in CA and made sure we did a track day at laguna haha in the rental mustang no less. Also did a few laps on the ring as well before our final stop in Ireland.

Never used track addict. Harry’s lap timer was my first lap timer phone app. He really grew that app out over the years. Still popular but not on the level of track addict

2nd oil report. Looks like I will keep running this oil and will look to change it around 4 or 5 track days going forward.

It's really not a major surprise the oil looks good. The sample was only for 2k miles and 3 track days but nice to see nonetheless. Plus I got the car 2nd hand so who knows what kind of shape the motor was in before hand.
