I thought about this last evening thanks to an episode of "The Goldbergs". (for those that haven' seen it the show is based in the 1980's). The Dad added one of those "new CD radios" to his car that had a removable faceplate on it.

In the process of taking a road trip the family manages to break the faceplate and they are stuck listing to Escape by Robert Holmes (the Pina Colada Song)
over and over again. Completely reminded me of this thread.
