The prices fluctuate. I bought it earlier this year for $220 shipped, and that was about two weeks after they were ~$190 shipped. About a month later, the prices dropped again, so....

cgrey could you tell me if the camera could be removed from the holder?

from the pics I've seen it looks like it can slide out of the holder and while leaving your mount still attached to the front windshield.

2nd thing could you verify if the camera lens can rotate such that the lens can point to the interior of the vehicle instead of facing out?

if it can do that how does it effect the motion sensor feature? I watched one youtube video of the motion sensor capturing guys walking in front of the car and were just smoking inside a parking garage. Curious if walking in front of the car will trigger the camera to start recording while pointing towards the interior of the vehicle.

thanks

I just ordered mine from Amazon. Didnt want to have to go through all the hassle getting it shipped from elsewhere outside of the US.

I can answer this; Yes, it easily comes right off. Yes, you can rotate the camera. What's cool about the motion sensor is yu can adjust the sensitivity in the set-up menu, so it should work fine.

One thing to be careful about.. If you're parked facing traffic, the device stays on the entire time running down the battery. That's why they have a device that detects the battery usage and shuts it down at a certain point. I have not bought this yet.

Update:

The STOP fuse, 7.5A, fourth from the top of the left column. Brake light circuit, it's hot.

For switched power plenty of options but I recommend the DRL circuit.

FYI Subaru uses short mini fuses, they're like mini fuses with cut blades and a slot in the middle. The box will accept normal mini fuses but you can't use a tap-a-fuse and still close the cover, not that the cover is very important.

Behind the plastic panel housing the hood release is plenty of space to hide excess wires or connectors.

I used two tap a fuse circuits and wired the power magic pro into the fuse box, then grounded to the bolt holding the fuse box.

Works great.

Just as an FYI there is a newer version on this camera out right now. So pay attention when you order yours. It's called the season II
