I have been thinking of doing a basic car bag with just an extra jacket and some tools, but now this thread has me thinking of adding more stuff...

Yup. Exactly why I wanted to see what was in everyone else's kit. 👍👌

IFAK with tourniquet, quick clot, Israeli bandage, bandag shears and disinfectant.
That's about it aside from my daily on-body gear. Usually a knife, pistol, mag, flashlight, cell.
I live in the city so pretty much no matter what happens I just need to be able to hold on for about five minutes until first responders get there.

Well it seems the California kit mainly consists of cloths and cellphones!
You guys would look sill as hell hauling around my winter gear.

we get spoiled here compared to some other places lol. I see other people not minding temps under 30F with snow and here I am freezing my ass off whenever it gets below 60F with perfect skies.

in the winter, I kept gloves in my car for when I need to do traffic control in the early mornings but now that the weather is getting way warmer (today's high is 90F) I can do without those now. for spring to fall I probably don't even need anything. packing a bag for 3-4 months out of the year kind of doesn't seem worth it for me. maybe just a tool bag

Clean white t-shirt, napkins, ball point pens.

I feel way unprepared looking at some of these lists.
Except for Sapphireho, I think I have him beat.

Welp. Originally I was considering getting a kit together but now I think I'll definitely need to do it. At the very least some medical supplies and snacks/water bottles.

1000cc I.V. saline bag, 18, 20, 22 gauge needles and I.V. tubing. Great for when you have to get home/go to work after a night of drinking. Just spike the bag, tap a vein, put it in the visor and get fluids whilst driving. Sure as hell beats gatoraid.
