Still to this day I get questions and comments on my FR-S. People love it, as do I.

We won't be on civic levels until they get a little cheaper and the rattle canned shitty paint job, chopped spring and rep wheel having, fart canned turds start showing up. Real rice is when you can tell a car probably spends its nights parked in a trailer park or on the street in front of mommy and daddy's house by just looking at it.

Are you sure it wasn't because you had a goofy smile and a boner all day? My wife had to remind me to zip my pants for the first week.

Congrats! Looks sweet!

I have driven a vette, 944, mr2 spyder, miata r package, etc.. etc.. and the 2016 FR-S is the first car I have owned that people next to me at red lights roll down their window to tell me how awesome it looks..

Down here in roswell there are only 2 or 3 that i see in a town of 50,000. Constantly getting questions and comments about the car, even up in Albuquerque where i see quite a few. I have played with the car cosmetically but in what i feel is a subtle way. The main questions/comments
-what is that?
-is it fast?
-looks like the batmobile

As mentioned in my Owner's Journal, mine was recently in the body shop after a minor fender bender.

Everybody in the front office were just gaga over the car. I'm pretty sure the adjuster, who had an opportunity to drive it, is going to look at one instead of the Mini Cooper she was in the process of shopping for. We probably spent 15 minutes talking about the car.

Even the owner of the shop came out when I picked it up, asked me questions about it, and was very interested in it. He used to work for Toyota, and even knew what the First 86 program was.

Most of them didn't realize it had been around for 5 years!

That's like every other modified twin. A lot of those widebody kits are already replica kits with spaced out wheels... You have people buying FI who don't know what it even does or how to keep it running correctly and then saying it was a shitty motor design when they blow the thing up. It is a very odd community we are all apart of.

I'm about to hit 1 year of ownership of my 86 and man, I've received so many compliments and surprised expressions about the car. Recently I had 2 encounters alone.

Scenario 1:
Just last week at a stop light making a left turn, I was next to an old man driving a mini-van with his wife. I was just chillin waiting for the green light to turn on and I could feel this person staring at me for some weird reason. As I turned my head right, the old man pointed at me and signaled to lower my window. So I lowered the window down and he asked "What kind of car is this?" Well... I re-badged my FR-S with Toyota and GT86 emblems and then I responded with "Ohh, it's a Scion FR-S!" and he looked at me with a very confused/surprised look. And then he responds "Is this a Toyota?" I said "Yeah technically it is! haha" Light turned green and as I was gonna make that left turn, he yells out loud "A very nice car!!"

Scenario 2:
I was parked in front of the Chevron buying some water and snacks. As I walked out of Chevron and then got in my car. This lady walked out of chevron and I guess she was behind me in line (maybe around in her 30's) and said "Nice car! It's sexy and it matches the driver.." and then she giggled. I said Thank you and smiled at her. I was surprised lol. I usually don't get compliments like this haha.

But this car is definitely a head turner still. Mine is pretty much stock and I haven't done much to mine, just basically re-badged Toyota Emblems and Valenti CR tail lights. Just my .02 cents.

I've been driving mine recently after purchase to school (I'm a senior in high school) and the amount of head snapping I get when I roll into the lot is insane. Sometimes It stresses me out because when I leave school I have to be extra careful that people are paying attention and all, It's like a pool of inexperienced drivers all leaving at once.

I'm still in that stage of awe where I wake up and look at the window just to check if it's still sitting there, I love the car.
