Was a fun gauge to try to glance at. Not that it mattered since I had an AT but the tach had lag that would make many turbo owners proud!

As for gas, is it empty(<0%, negative gas, hehe) or is the inner gauge on the right for gas? Then what is the outer one (0-100%) for?
The inner is the gas and it only indicates in 1/8 of a tank intervals no partials. The outer one is slightly different than the rental since the rental had an economy meter there. Could be the same thing just and older version.

Googling around I found a youtube video showing that you can switch between eco meter and the 0-100% gauge. Might be turbo boost? Though I also found images with turbo boost gauge there but labeled in an unabiguous way, not 0-100%.

This was no Abarth so no turbo gauge. Could have measured the 0 to 60 with an hourglass I think.

Car is lowered, I did the TRD exhaust. I am interested in a header+tune but I'm worried about the noise. I'd be interested to hear people's opinion on that. I've also thought about changing the deck but I think I want to go the apple/car deck route so I'll wait for some viable options.

Personally I think HID is just a waste of money...It's not like you live in a place without lights. Look ahead & around you instead of looking only infront of u, good driving knowledge & awareness will help you more.

You should get an header & tune or a good suspension kit. Those 2 makes the biggest difference other then going FI.

PS: *Tires too but you really should play around with stock tire more & understand how the car feels first.

For a different car deck, give it another year. Carplay for aftermarket unit isn't that mature yet.

If the noise is too much you can always switch back to stock back assuming you have that still. In my experience header+catback is usually too loud for people but the TRD one isn't too bad.

There are several great inexpensive headers out there I would suggest the gruppe-s UEL or the openflash header along with the OFT tune. I've had zero issues and I've been running their tunes for over a year now, 15,000 miles or so. Save up for those and just so small upgrades here and there when you can.

My old kid-hauler, a Santa Fe, had all the bells and whistles because my employer at the time was paying the majority of it, and when I first got my FR-S I kind of missed the steering wheel controls. Now that I've spent some time with it, though, I don't miss them at all. Every thing is well within reach and my steering wheel is exactly what it's supposed to be. A steering wheel.

I want to try and keep it CARB legal without constantly having to remove stuff under the car come inspection time. I was thinking about adding the TRD exhaust, lowering springs, and sway bar kit and just add a K&N drop in filter.

I got a smoking deal on some Tom's tails right after I bought my car. I'm not a fan of the stock ones so that was a no-brainer for me.

So... this post confused me... I dont understand what you mean when you say, "you dont live in a place without lights".....

Uhm, I live in the middle of the desert and a lot of my driving is at night down desert roads that are dark as hell unless its a full moon. Headlights are everything out here. my past few cars have had crappy lights and I hate it. My current car is a 2D sebring that is falling apart, the bumper is falling forward making it super hard to see. I've been too busy to fix it and thankfully I can get rid of the car in a couple months. But HID is a big plus to me!

What? HIDs make a night and day difference in visibility at night, and yes alot of people live in areas without lights, I live in the suburbs, no street lights till you travel 30-40 minutes into Philadelphia. Situational awareness can only do so much

Hey don't be so eager to jump into the spot light. Obviously it's a different story if you live in a place without lights. I was just saying that cuz I know lots ppl that lives in the middle of a giant city & still puts on all HIDs that does nothing other then blinding uncoming traffics.

Put it this way, if you work on the las vegas strip. Do you really need HIDs?? The neon lights is gonna be brighter then ur light. But no~ some ppl must put all HIDs cuz it's coooooool.
