It is all about seat time with good instruction. There is a guy at our local events who has been autoxing longer than I, and he will occasionally post questions about modifications because he wants to be quicker, but he becomes antagonistic anytime someone suggests instruction instead of car upgrades because, I assume, he feels the implication is that he does not drive well. I know he has never attended an Evolution Driving School (Ninjin is going to one in Cali) nor the AZSolo school we offer every December. He also never asks for ridealongs nor does he ask others to ride with him for feedback. The result is that he is always midpack. Btw, since the twins are new and the current darlings of the autox world, it will be easy for any of you to find a TO co-driver to be an instructor. You simply offer TO runs in return for instruction. Typically, you will ride with your instructor, and your instructor with you, on the majority of your TO runs. Then on your last runs, you both go solo. If you do that for a season or two, you will improve quickly. Btw, expect your expert co-driver to occasionally hit cones, or even spin your car. |

Hell yeah.
I know that it will be an early wake-up for you, but get there by 7:30 because the course will be lonnnnng and you will need three or four course walks. Course walking is crucial because you need to know where you need to be. While walking with friends and discussing lines is good, take at least one walk by yourself so you can see the course distraction free. Another great course walking technique is to follow someone who is a hot shoe because that person tends to walk the line that he or she intends to drive. |

I haven't seen any videos here from Sunday, so here is one from a very fast CSP Miata. He did it about a second and a half faster than I.

Finally my tax return has been finished an approved! Going to grab today after work and then wait for 11 days and BAM, ordering some serious parts! But now I'm contemplating if I want to just go for it and buy some XXR's instead and sell my spacers..... Mmmm options?
