Something else to keep in mind, that the learning never stops. A lot of the people there getting instruction are the fast people. Besides setting up my car to go fast, my Co-driver Elliot is providing valuable instruction on how to improve as a driver for me. Before Elliot became me co-driver, I was tapping into Clint's driving knowledge. If you are interested, I can hook people up with some good drivers. Btw, Clint will give Elliot feedback and Elliot will give Clint feedback when they ride together. It is basically drawing on the knowledge base, and Arizona has more than its fair share of national level drivers (probably because we get so much good autox weather), so the knowledge base is deep.
Kevin is right if your trying to get faster ride with fast people if you just want to have fun jump in the car with me. If people want to get better they should definitely use an instructor. Not just ride in any old car they see because they can show you bad habits.

You would be the right person to put such a video together too.

Absolutely. You gotta learn through experience.

Yeah I totally agree and I don't want you to get the wrong impression by me offering ride alongs to people that I'm trying to instruct them. I am only trying to get people interested in the sport like my buddy Jeremy at local motors last week who missed yesterday but is going to register for march once he gets his tax return to replace his shot tires and like my buddy in the dart that had never tried it. I always steer them towards an instructor and wanted him to ride with you but it makes it easier to get introduced to it from a friend who they know isn't going to judge them instead of a stranger with a whole lot of experience. Most other auto sports are not nearly as nice to rookies as autocross is, so most have come from a bad experience at a track or drag strip.

Sweet! So i talked to the vinyl guys today and our dash pieces are hydro dipped and the vinyl doesnt match(silver color). We could use a different color but i dont see the point if other pieces in the car don't match. So its a no go on the vinyl.....

Well lets look at other vinyl the silver would have been sweet but i'm open to red with the logo in it. If we make the logo big enough it would not overwhelm the interior

Jasper, I am SOO down. If ride along's are free, then why not. It's good to see how things are done and kinda how the ropes are. Only if it doesnt mess with your times tho.

I'm always down to show someone the sport and the very basics of it. I am still new and learning but I can at least show you the basics and point you in the right direction for the people that are more experienced and willing to show you how to be competitive. My times onlys are when I work on being more technical with my driving and focusing on my line. They are normally slower but where I learn the most about the car and my driving habits.

Ill post up any events I go to as well. Anybody is more than welcome to go with me as well. It's an absolute blast. @Evil86 gave me a ton of pointers my first time, and it really helped my thinking process on the track.

I was watching you and you carry a really good line something I have trouble with and just make up for it by keeping the pedal to the floor and the wheels begging for traction. I know with a better line I could shave off a lot of time so I want to ride with you and see how you do things.
