Gave the car a bath after yesterday events. Looks like I hit cones on both sides of the car, I only recall hitting them once. That cleaned up no problem.

But, I did find a door ding!!!!! Not sure where it happend. I park this car far from pretty much everything. well...I know these things can get fixed.

I also noticed my engine serial number starts with 08686, that was a little cool.

Now to just hit the place order button on the wheels and tires. I am just not a 100% sure yet.

I know this has been answered about a million times and I know I'm but how much to register and be a co-driver? (and I'm taking it Co-driver means passenger?)

Sure, and if you are around during TO Runs (starting maybe at 11:30 or so), you can come with me for a ride along.

Come Saturday so you will have time to decide that you really need to register onsite Sunday morning. It really is freakin' fun.

Talk to me first before ordering. Seriously.

Co-driver means someone driving your car - typically it involves some sort of trade off - cash or expertise. Car whores are habitual co-drivers. There is no shame in being a ride whore. I was one all last year. Ride alongs are passengers.

Pre reg is 25 for SCCA members, 35 for non-SCCA member (it includes a weekend membership that is good for a discount on a yearly membership). Onsites costs more, 30 for SCCA member, 40 for non-SCCA member.
Ten dollah, only ten dollah, for TO runs - always do TO runs, good for seat time.

Let me preface, the guy who got second at the last LM event is a good guy and talented (it was his second autox), but I got to tell this story.

He got me at LM by a few tenths of a second, and so he told me his goal was to take me by two seconds Sunday.

Missed by six seconds.

Some advice for my new autox buddies: Ride with people who are faster than you. Pay attention to what they are doing. Look at how they steer, pay attention to the braking, anticipate the early acceleration, and watch where they are looking.

Something else to keep in mind, that the learning never stops. A lot of the people there getting instruction are the fast people. Besides setting up my car to go fast, my Co-driver Elliot is providing valuable instruction on how to improve as a driver. Before Elliot became my co-driver, I was tapping into Clint's driving knowledge. If you are interested, I can hook people up with some good drivers. Btw, Clint will give Elliot feedback and Elliot will give Clint feedback when they ride together. It is basically drawing on the knowledge base, and Arizona has more than its fair share of national level drivers (probably because we get so much good autox weather), so the knowledge base is deep.

For those who cant make it to these for one reason or another it would be great for you to make some instructional videos. It would be cool to have instruction specific to our cars. Perhaps 4 camera's, feet, cabin, forward facing and front tire. Possibly narrated as well. Pretty sure that video would be very popular on the forum. You would be the right person to put such a video together too.
