Evil86,
Thanks for all of your advice, and getting me to experience what other drivers are doing. What an insane day! I was exhausted at the end of the day!

Ninjin/Jasper, Thanks for helping me get that first instructor...not sure how that first run would have gone without.

I'm serious, and what kind of Dyno was it. I'm trying to figure out what power numbers are made with different means of break in. I've found hard break ins result in higher hp and tq numbers.

Marana

The Marana Multiregional challenge is next Saturday and Sunday. You can register for either day or for both. Probably 4 runs on a lot much bigger and smoother than Firebird. The course designers are very good, so the courses should be fun. Marana is a little north of Phoenix on I-10 (about an hour south of FIR).
Many Phoenix folk stay in Marana area hotels.

Registration closes Friday at 5 or so.
Register at www.mindthecones.com
If you want to run both days, you have to register for both days.

It was a Maha dyno.
For break in, I kept the revs mostly under 4k for the first 1000 miles (i cheated a few times) oil change, then drive as usual.

Both days, the gates open at 7:00, registration and tech is from 7:45 to 8:45, driver's meeting at 9:00. No lunch break, so bring food. Generally we are done between 2:00 and 3:00, and it is usually closer to 2:00.
