You're back!!

That cage is awesome. Did you bump the harness bar back for more room to recline the seat?

I have always bent the harness bar back for more room in small cars. That and leaning the main hoop back if necessary are tricks for making more room inside. I'm only about 5' 8" so I fit this great, funny since I built it for me.

NASA tech inspectors don't like the harness bars like this but guess what, there is no rule book for roll bars for HPDE days so deal with it. I also usually run with BMWCCA and they are fine with it.

Will you try to get as much of the interior back in as you can, or leave it like it is?

edit: Nevermind, I'm a dumbass. Your second pic shows the interior is back in.

I think that's... water injection? Or meth injection?

Or something else entirely?

Purely for selfish reasons, what happened with your rear seat brace?

Water/meth injection, 50/50 mix of VP Fuels M1 and distilled water.

The rear seat brace from my car will be archived for future reference. For giggles I will try and install it with the roll bar if it fits and see if there is still a gain.

From my limited understanding, water injection is more to cool the intake charge before it gets to the cylinders, correct? Does meth do the same thing, or does it affect the actual combustion of the fuel?

The seat brace did tie into the cross beam right under the rear window, whereas the cage ties into the floor at all four points. I can see it making a difference in body flex. I'm not well-versed enough to know if tying the cage into those points would have reduced its effectiveness or not.

water/meth provides knock suppression and cooler intake temps. On its own that doesn't do to much, the real gains come with the now possible higher boost levels and more aggressive tunes.

Same idea as switching to e85.
