You are definitely right about that... it would have drove me nuts... I would have stopped at the nearest car wash to take care of it ASAP.

No doubt I would have broken your condo rules too... that's a pretty lame rule... they should have a designated area for that.

Ok so this is indirectly related to my build...over the last 2 years I've taken a step back in my other passion... fitness. Reasons for my step back have been an ulnar nerve issue which still affects me to this day, the birth of my twins, and my 86 build. All have contributed... but now my ulnar nerve issue is under contol, my twins are a little older, and my 86 is at a good point. So now it is time to get Beastly once again... starting Monday the gym will be serious business once again! Don't worry though... the 86 will still be a priority but in a different way.

The forthcoming pics were taken in October of 2012 and October of 2013...I weighed 165lbs in the first (weight cut) and 175lbs in the second. The first was taken at the end of a bench press competition in which I participated and won the pound for pound title... the second was a screenshot from a video of me deadlifting 515lbs (rather easily might I add... lol).

Anyway, I'm about 182 right now...but not as strong as I would like to be. I'm a very strong runner for my height and size... that has not really changed.

I will be looking like the the pics soon... I say two months... I'll be taking BCAAs, creatine, protein, testosterone booster(I turn 40 this year), and a muscle builder from Old School Labs. I've only taken creatine, protein and BCAAs inconsistently for the last two years.

Time to get Beastly!

Edit: Oh snap... I didn't realize my buddy had posted my lift on his Instagram

Here it is

I've been working on getting my build some media...I might have caught a break... hopefully it works out.

I have a number of pretty good pics I have not posted anywhere because I've been using them for other media. Getting my 86 featured in a magazine or an online publication has been a goal of mine since day one.

Things are on the up and up!

On another note, I repurchased a HKS air duct from a fellow forum member...I did so at a price I could live with...I didn't want to take the chance of screwing up a $225 part. I will have to modify it to work in my setup. The HKS v3 supercharger instructions state this part would fit without modification... that was definitely an error. I may modify and install this part next week.

Here is a shot of the modified duct courtesy of @Torry@HKSUSA

Intercooler outlet pipe prevents proper fitment...

Incorrect HKS Instructions...

damn another thing for me to be jealous about... first the car and now fitness I've been working out "seriously" for about 5 years now. by seriously, I mean just going to the gym almost every day (when time allows) and getting my workout on. I don't really go hardcore and diet though, but I probably should since I got some fat that I can't get off my stomach lol

It takes time bro... I've been into fitness and weight lifting since I was 14...I turn 40 this year. You have plenty of time... you just have to really want it... basically it has to become a lifestyle, a part of who you are...

While I'm not a big fan of supplements, BCAAs do have some benefits. Although it puzzles me why people take then while exercising. All they are is a straight shot of protein which get's absorbed quicker. As for the protein mix, my best advice is just use actual meat. It's a little easier for the body to process. Do you just lift for the health or to gain mass? i.e. bodybuilding? It's cool to see someone big into fitness!

I take 91 octane....oh wait that is my 86...lol no but seriously, I take Optimum Nutrition (ON) Amino Energy as a Pre-workout. I take creatine until I get to a level I expect from myself then I quit it. I drink (ON) protein once a day after my workout... the rest of my protein comes from my food.

I lift for health... the byproduct being I look fit... at my best I weigh 175lbs, I bench 365-375, squat over 500lbs, and deadlift (Romanian) @530lbs...the thing is I love cardio! I run 6 to 10 miles outside 2-3 times a week although I'll be cutting that down until I reach my strength goals. I can run a 5k in 18m45s to 19ish The cardio along with my diet has helped regulate my weight... I've weighed 170-185 for the last 16 years. I'm definitely not a body builder... body builders cringe at the thought of doing real cardio. lol

I just need to get back to business!

Btw, I used to be certified as a personal trainer through the Coopers Institute... I never kept up with it though... it expired a while back.

@weederr33 Are you going to Texas Invasion in San Marcos on July 16th? I'm thinking about it... I'm also considering the Slammedenuff show on August 6th in Dallas...would be cool to see and hear other 86 owner's setups in person.

I didn't know about the deal on the 16th. But I could try and make it. As for the 6th of August, I am going to the 86 meet in Medina out by Leakey since it's closer!

And your fitness set up is pretty awesome. I love to run as well, but I mostly do it for events like Tough Mudders. I've been trying to improve my bench, but my shoulder is still giving me some issues with my supraspinatus. It's cool you were a trainer. I'm currently a trainer and a strength and conditioning specialist, so fitness is my passion!

@weederr33 I don't think I'll make it to the San Marcos car show this weekend... at least not with my 86... maybe as a spectator though.

I most likely will have to go to San Antonio though... PM me your contact info... perhaps I could meet up with you on my way through Kerrville or possibly at the San Marcos car show. I would love to check out your 86.

I am shooting to be at the Slammedenuff show in Dallas on the 6th of August. I'll do my damdest to be at Wekfest Houston in October...that's the main show I want to be at. HIN Houston in December is also a possibility.

I got around to modifying and installing my HKS air intake duct today... this was my second one... I had ordered one brand new only to find out I had to modify it... according to the SC instructions it was supposed to fit without modification. Anyway, I returned it but recently ended up getting a great deal from a fellow forum member on the same duct. It was never installed because he ran into the same problem I did except his vendor would not accept his return.

Anyways, this is how it turned out...

stencil made out of construction paper...

Lined out...

Minor adjustments...

Edges filed smooth and blended in with flat black paint.

Installed...
