Next time you are in the Cites, Minnesota that is, let me know. Although I'll probably have my solution by then. LOL

I'll be in Janesville over Memorial Day, let me know if yours is installed and I'll try to get in your area. Am interested and would like to observe one in action.

I'm not sure if it has to go through customs since it's coming from Canada, or how long it takes customs to release it.

So I got a problem... I am running the Esc on 93 octane with the oft tune. For the first few days everything was perfect. This morning However everytime after I engage the Esc all the lights on my dash turn on and the power is cut off causing the car to stall... Any ideas what's causing this ?

damn, that's the second esc down in the last 8 hours. Jpit's is down too http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64908
electronics can cause some weird things to happen.. I can think of only two ways for the esc to affect the engine. 1. the power from the dump batteries is either back feeding through the motor controller into the stock charging system, and either shorting the stock batteries, or putting voltage where it doesn't belong. 2. the motor/compressor is locking up causing the engine to starve for air. You could take the compressor off the intake, and with the car turned off, have someone hit the wot switch to make sure it is working properly, if it spins up like normal, then you can probably count out the theory of it choking out the engine. If it doesn't spin, then your motor or controller is bad Then you could unhook the ground wire from the motor controller to the negative battery terminal(which I believe is the charging path). This should remove any connection between the esc and the cars electrical system. With the charging path removed, you could test out the system again, the dump pack won't recharge so you will have only a few runs, but if you trigger the switch and the car doesn't die, then you know that power or a short from the dump packs are screwing with your electrical system, which would either be a bad dump pack or bad motor controller. on second thought, you might want to unhook both the positive and the negative wires from the controller to the factory battery terminals, then tape them up to make sure they don't touch each other or ground against the body. If the controller or batteries are faulty in some way, it is possible for just one wire to still connect that signal to either +Voltage or ground via the dump batteries, likewise if the power is back feeding through the controller and the charging wire hits the body, you are could have some unwanted welding going on under your hood. 1. Read the ECU log to see what it thinks the problem may be. If this doesn't provide enough information you will want to trouble shoot the Phantom system, OFT & the installation itself. 2. Turn off the Arm switch on the cockpit indicator and see if the problem persists. Regardless of the result, disconnect the controller (+) and (-) from the battery as well as the 24V connector. This takes the ESC off line. The compressor will not cause enough restriction for the engine to stall/stop. If the problem persists it has nothing to do with the Phantom system. If the problem goes away, reconnect the system, paying attention to the hook-up sequence in the instructions. If it comes back, contact Rob...and don't use (completely disconnect) the Phantom system until Rob has had an opportunity to evaluate the problem. 2. Assuming that the problem presents itself in step 2 above, reflash to your OEM tune. If the problem persists it has nothing to do with the tune software. If the problem goes away, reflash the tune. If the problem continues with a reflash, but works with the OEM tune, contact Shiv. 3. If the problem is present with 2 & 3 above, the problem has nothing to do with the components of the ESC or tune, but you may have created a path for a short or similar problem. Recheck your work making sure that nothing is loose. It's possible that something was dislodged as you snaked wires. Look in the proximity of where you worked for a dislodged connector. 4. If you can't locate the issue, bring the car to the dealer for evaluation.

It may or may not. Completely disconnect the controller and see if the problem is resolved. If not, look elsewhere.

Being that it runs when its off makes me thing the tune isn't the problem either . Unplugging the controller will disengage the system thoufh right? Wouldn't that be the same as leaving it off ? Also it still pulls great when going wot and the voltage drops when engaged so I'm guessing the compressor is good as well
