My cylinder one DI seal failed after tracking my car for a year.
I paid a 3rd party mechanic to replace all four seals, updated my ECU with the Toyota fix, added an oil cooler, and replaced my coils with Okadas. After a second year of tracking I had my injectors pulled this week and all four were still good.

I'm trying to get the courage to go to the dealership and fight for the tune, mine doesn't do the rpm drop anymore so the TSB technically doesn't apply to me...

What's the warranty on the DI issue? Is it 5yrs/60,000 mile, or 3yr/36,000 mile?

I'm coming up on 2 years of ownership this June but only have 5,500 miles on my car. Dealer did a reflash last summer but I'm not sure for what. I haven't experienced anything people have mentioned in this thread but sometimes get a very brief idle dip. I normally shift by 5000 rpm but have taken it past 6000 from time to time. Never tracked, tuned, or modded in any way.

It is a powertrain issue so the warranty would be 5/60,000 miles...

so after reading all of this... looks like I may have this same issue - Car is with dealership right now and they are basically looking at the injection system... Car basically got a warning light then traction control light went on... then started having idle issue... This is really sad but good thing is I am still under power train warranty...

Is this DI issue only affecting earlier 2013 cars or is this unresolved and continues to affect 2014 cars as well?

I purchased the 700cc fuel injectors with my turbo kit and wondering if it replaces OEM DIs?

Just a question, does this problem only affect manual transmission cars?

It might be a good idea to understand the system before you continue. Read the article and watch the vid at the bottom. http://www.treadstoneperformance.com...brz-explained/
