I wouldn't mind SC-86 assuming it's a Scion. Or just GT-S. One name I'd really hate though is FR-S... dunno why, it just sounds lame. Or ST-86, for Sprinter Trueno? Regardless, I'd want the name itself to be a cue to the AE86 in some way.

I'd go for Celica. In the spirit of the MR2, how about the FR4? It'd play well to the enthusiasts, although I can't imagine the difficulty of building brand recognition around that. That's too German for Japan. lol.

Descriptive and sounds good. How about; sC for base, sC GT for touring model; sC 86 edition for track?

^Hm.... highly doubt that. If this car come in Scion there are two things that stopping it from using that name
1. They've already used letter "C" for tC. 2. sC-86 is four letters long and Scion have been two letters long, so it doesn't work. |

hmm let see they've used.... A,B,C,D... and I for IQ.....could be anything from E to I ... Or if rear wheel drive... R would be the closest letter. ... Scion xR doesn't sound bad ...

Well doesn't have to use "x" cuz tC didn't have em and same as IQ, so it could be fR or tR could be another option... again, this is IF it comes out in Scion

Hmm If I remember correctly tC stands for Touring Coupe...tR I don't thinks would make sense... FR seems plausible too. I guess we wont know till next month lol till then it's still a FT86 XD and a Toyota badge not Scion

Naturally it should be Celica. That's a well recognised name and the new car strangely gives off the same vibes when it comes to the visuals, not to mention that it doesen't look THAT different from the last generation Celica.
I'd love it to have the old dragon emblems on its fenders. |
