As an avid track driver, I'm 100% buying this splitter very soon for the upcoming season. Is the installation really as easy as everyone is saying?

Takumi attached is a quick pic I took this morning. I will be installing the race upgrade portion this weekend. I was like you and was concerned it would look really big, but I was pleasantly surprised with how it turned out. I think it helps being black on black and it just blends in with the car.

Turn 2 is a very "sketchy" corner. I remember my buddy riding with me in my STi freaking out cause he could feal the rear end sliding. The next session I watched an EVO8 "sliding" thru the turn in my rear view mirror. The front always felt pretty solid in the STi. I haven't got the BRZ there yet, but hope to once or twice this summer. This splitter should be ordered soon Just have to debate if I buy the race version or not.

How has everyone's splitter been holding up after being on the car for a year? I saw some pics of one, and it looks like the finished really faded, and you could see the material.

We do know of an issue with the rod ends fading and I am personally working on a fix. It just takes a long time to test a fix when it takes 3+ months of direct sunlight to fade them. I'll let others chime in on how their splitters are holding up as my car spends its life in the garage mostly. |

Ok, I wasn't sure if they were coated or a solid material, the splitter in question looked like it had a yellow "under" on the edges(not top or bottom, like what faces forward/sides).

If you can find the picture again I would like to view this. It is one solid piece throughout. It does get dirty which could be what you saw? I've not received any complaints with discoloration on the splitter itself.
