I went to toyota bahwan today and i asked about the nur body kit. They dont have the whole body kit only the big wing is in stock. The wing alone costs around 3800 dirhams.

Just had my first oil change. They used synthetic oil but never thought the service would be expensive. I ended up paying 50 rials (around 482 dirhams) just for an oil and filter change.

We often get the feeling that we are being taken for a ride when servicing from the dealer. But when I compare prices for a service to back home in Canada, I'm actually not that bothered - much cheaper here!

Keep in mind that if they use the 10K synthetic oil, it is probably more expensive than the regular as well + what Ft86Dubai said above - sports car so they assume we have $$ !

10k.. Thats almost 6 months of usage for me.. Maybe not for me i will stick with the 5k service..

I was offered these details from a service manager at Toyota Al-Futtaim (UAE). For regular service of oil & filter change, they are asking 550dhs on every 5000km. Major service every 10000km shall be priced higher. I was told some 86 owners have been seeking synthetic oil change, which costs about 750dhs/service. No long term plans for synthetic oil change.

They also shared with me a service plan, for regular oil, which given the above stats sounded reasonable. Although, I'd like it to be verified by few more people, here in Dubai.

So if anyone out there heard numbers related to service charges/long term plans. Please do share.

Here below is what I heard.

So they have 2 long term offers so far.
1st service plan is from 5000km till 30,000km. Cost is AED3450; which can be paid in 2 installments
2nd service plan is from 5000km till 60,000km. Cost is AED7445; can be paid in 3 installments

If anyone else can verify the above, I'll appreciate.

Sorry Guys.. i think i spoke to the Wrong guy yesterday and he said he still dont know how how much will be the contract plan for this.. but he gave me an estimated cost for the next 5k will be around 650AED..

which is dang... same cost im paying for the 5K service of a Fortuner with 4.0LT engine..
