Spoke to al khoury and no manual versions coming until February as per the sales guy. So it's outta the question for me!

The whole out of stock and back order stories are all BS. I went to the showroom on a Monday looking for a White M/T 86 and the sales guy said that there are no cars in stock, all cars were booked and even if I put down a deposit it will still take more than 3 months. So, I told him Ill think about it.

Two days later I received a call from him and he asked if I am still interested. I confirmed and told him that I will come back on Thursday for a test drive. When I arrived to take the car for a spin he said that he has good news for me, a car will be available within 4 weeks! Payed the deposite and left the showroom. The next Sunday he called again and said that it will arrive on Thursday, I was surprised and happy!!!

On Tuesday afternoon he called and said the car will arrive this evening so I went there to see it, looked just the way I wanted it, made the payment and the car was with me on Wednesday. Exactly 6 days since handing in my deposit the.

Toyota has stock.

3-5 base option cars available now in red/orange. None in white

About 15-20 cars that are not booked yet coming in over the next 2 weeks. Saw the list today.

Lots of base option cars and lots of top spec ones. Only 1 mid option in black.

Not sure how it works but from other threads on this forum it looks like some people had issues with getting their cars on time.

Anyone know if al futtaim going to do a new year or dsf offer?

I agree with this when i booked my 86 just this dec. i told the sales rep that i am fully aware of the waiting time and i can expect the car to be ready by March. but 3 days after she called and told me that the car is ready and i can pick it up just finalize the formalities a week after took home the 86.

i dont know the strategy behind it as i see no point if you have it on stock or not.

they want to differentiate observes (time wasters to them) and buyers.

They are full of BS, a salesman told my friend that a manual grey isn't available, and it will take 4 months to get this color, I told him to ask another salesman working in the same showroom, just 5 minutes later the other salesman found the car in stock, he paid for it and left the showroom.

there goes one sale.. its not like a ferrari that you need to do background check just to own it.

but thats a good gesture pay for it in cash then leave with the car.

What is the service interval and engine oil used with Al Futtaim? Here in Oman they dont have synthetic oil and i was told to bring the car every 5k km for an oil change but according to the manual oil change is at 15k or 7.5k with dusty roads.

Well I'm dealing with a really nice guy at al futtaim festival city called James - highly recommend him - and I had the option of picking a red/orange/grey and walk off the lot in a day or two. Unfortunately I'm waiting because they don't have the color I want

Al futtaim does 10k service intervals as well. However I'm still trying to understand if this keeps the warranty - waiting to hear back from them.

10k intervals are ideal.
