I need your guy's help. I'll be getting the RPF1 in 17inch, but not sure if I should get the 17×9 +35 or 17×9 +45.

Which one will have a better fitment on stock suspension and I will be getting a lowering springs in couple of months.

It's my daily driver and I want to be able to fit meaty tiers 245/40 or even 255/40 if I could. I want something that I don't have to worry much about rubbing all the time.

Thanks in advance.

17x9 +45 won't clear the suspension.
17x9 +35 should be fine (albeit with some poke in the front), as long as you don't have BBK / Brembos, and is a fairly popular spec.

Sounds good. Then I'll go with the 17×9 +35. For the front poke I think camber bolts will make it flush.

But can I fit 255/40 on them without having issues or should I stick with 245/40?

I appreciate your patriotism, but I think it would look kinda goofy. I’d like to see it though so please do it lol Also, 17 by 9 +35, 245/40 is perfect in my opinion

Nah I'm not gonna do it lol. I'll be getting them in silver, it looks the best with the red. But I was curious about the blue. In that case I'll get the 245/40.

Thanks for the help.

Hell yeah silver, gold, and gunmetal are pretty safe options that still look good on red. White looks sexy as hell if you’re feeling lucky lol

Honestly, for some reason blue wheels look absolutely drop dead gorgeous on silver 86s!

On red, IMO, black and silver wheels look stunning.

I'm running 17x9 +35 with a 5mm slip on spacer and -2.0 degrees of camber. Sits pretty flush as is.

I've been on the lookout for gunmetal or silver 17x7 +48offset 5x100 bolt pattern. They don't make them anymore but if anyone is selling some pm me please.

Matte Black 17x9 +35 for track, recently acquired a bronze set from a friend of mine in the same specs for street use

Track tires are Nitto NT01 235/40/17, street tires are Michelin PSS 245/40/17 (came with the wheels but have ExtremeContact ECS on another set of wheels)
