Man - i should stick to cars for canyon runs. I totaled my motorcycle on saturday 11/14 on angeles forest hwy just past upper big tujunga. 4 fractured ribs, 3 fractured vertebrae and a partially collapsed lung. i'll join you guys once i heal up!

i think my tire compound was too old and had hardened up (i don't ride often now). i was in a curve and leaned over (probably going around 70%) and the rear tire just slipped out and i low-sided. bike hit the guardrail and i tumbled off down the road.

old tires was the only thing i could think of - road was nice and clean, no gravel, and i didn't do anything mid-curve to upset the bike at all or cause that to happen. tires had a lot of tread - just old (about 8 years) and weren't soft and sticky anymore.
