So if they didn't wreck these BRZs, they have to be floating around here somewhere...

They might've used the BRZ but it didn't make the final cut. Film editors have to trim hours upon hours of raw footage down to ~2 hours. Not all deleted scenes even get featured on Blu-ray I bet.

Cars used in Fast 6 according to IMDB

IMDB has a list of all the cars used in Fast 6: http://www.imcdb.org/movie_1905041-T...Furious-6.html. The BRZ was not in the list. I guess the BRZ is just a stand-in B-grade actor not even worthy of mention on this IMDB list.

Excellent point. Before Fast Five came out, I met this guy at my Mitsubishi dealership's waiting room who ended up having been a CGI guy or something for a lot of big-budget movies. He told me a few things about the movie that ended up being correct (and not just stuff from the trailers either) and while he didn't confirm anything about the GT-R when I asked if it would have screen time, he did say that I "might see it doing some stuff."

However, the GT-R was indeed at the end of the film, but the movie ends without even seeing the car move. However, looking at the trend of the director's films in the franchise, the movies end with a race sequence (or at least something involving cars doing stuff), then it cuts off right before something exciting happens. The first F&F6 trailer did show the GT-R and the Challenger driving alongside each other, which is likely a continuation of the end scene of the previous movie, so it's likely that they did film the scene back in 2010-2011 without needing to re-do everything, so the footage was left on the cutting room floor until recently.

What?? Really??? The scene the BRZ in is posted up there.. Seen the movie.. It's a quick scene or two and that's it.. No driving no nothing.. It's been posted.. After Brian throws a paper airplane.. Dom picks it up.. In the back ground you'll see the BRZ.. They are talking a few seconds later.. Over his shoulder it's in the background.. That's it..

I completely missed that part, i didnt see the BRZ at all. Maybe because during the movie someone in the far back was throwing popcorn and made a lot of people mad. Including one person who got up and started cussing. Once clips of movie parts comes out or pirate stuff i can check out the scene again. Blown tho about no driving parts, at least show Mia do something! I agree to the blu ray delete scenes, we will see..
