My headunit sounds much better since I got those reference EQ settings from this forum, and I've even cured the background hiss with my iPod Classic by using a Furutech ADL iD-30PA 30pin to USB cable (I tried a TDK Ferrite Core on the stock sync cable but that didn't help).

At least the car handles very well for a modern car.
Get OEM Audio + off someone :P You wont regret.

Yea I wish but I gotta save up money for my new headphone rig (Sony NW-ZX2 + PHA-3 + MDR-Z7 + Optional Kimber Cable so that's 4 hard bullets to bite).

My STI exhaust drowns out the headunit anyway but in a nice way.

Are you sure a different unit and a murder are the way to go here?

@FR-Sizzle as @Tcoat pointed out, mileage has almost nothing to do with a car being sold new.

It varies a bit by state in the US, but in most states any car that has never been titled can be sold as a "new car". In Georgia, at least the last time I checked, that was the only restriction, it had never been titled to a consumer.

Some states have some rules around mileage but they are pretty liberal. In Virginia (at least at one point) there wasn't a limit but that the mileage was used for "minimal movement for delivery, and for demonstration purposes". I think in Utah it is something like 7,500 miles.

In Florida, I once got to drive a Corvette for two months because my father-in-law (a GM salesman at the time) had to have a certain number of miles on it to deliver to customer out of the country so it could be exported as a "used car". I put about 5,000 miles on it.

Bottom line, cars get miles put on them in shipping, relocation, demo driving, for lots of reasons. Personally if I can find a "new" car that has miles on it, I just consider that a negotiation point since I've lost part of the warranty.

Oh, and just walked out and looked at mine (Firestorm). It looks like they managed to spray it all the way down. Paint must have really been watered down that day.
