She is pretty hot. She also drives well. She also loves it when I buy parts for our cars. But, she can still be a pain in the ass. And she isn't much of a housekeeper or cook.

But I aint complaining.

Thank god she isn't on this forum, or id be in some shit.

When in doubt, just stretch it out.

You see, I gotta hear this shit at the track every time her and I go out to a HPDE or a PCA event. Guys are always saying how lucky I am. Wish my wife/girlfriend was like that. And you know, I am lucky...but every woman is a pain in the ass. She's not easy and she would admit that. She just happens to not bust my balls about car stuff.

But she shouldn't complain, she enjoys a pretty good life herself. I mean she tracks a 15 Boxster whenever she wants, I am then racing an S2000. Not complaining, life is good, but how can she complain. Hell, any married man here knows it aint all roses and cupcakes....even on a good day.

I can exploit the weaknesses of the BRZ pretty quickly on a track. Stock brakes fade 2 - 4 laps in and oil is pegging 290 - 300 halfway through a session. But both problems easily fixed, which is why I love the car. But what comes from the factory isn't up to the task.

But, what number would you give? That's the whole point of us discussing this. Sharing opinions or ideas.
I don't consider BRZ to be a competition car or a track car, but I believe that overall it is very well thought and much more tested for track days in comparison to other cars. So, it just seemed to me that a 5 was very low.

Regarding the problems you mentioned, someone needs to use racing brake pads and better tires. But, I don't consider these to be factory issues. It looks that the factory considered these as necessary accessories for entering a track.

Regarding the high oil temperatures, I don't consider again to be a serious issue. There were other issues with the engine and factory fixed them. For example, they changed the intake and exhaust valves and a few other things. You can check details here. But, I haven't heard about any broken engines because of the high oil temperatures. If you aware something else please let us know.

The high oil temps lead to power loss, as the ECU retards timing to prevent pre-detonation in the combustion chambers.

A 200 hp 2700 lb car should have absolutely zero issues at the track with thermal management (save brake pads). The stresses presented just aren't that high. It's a shame that the BRZ doesn't come stock with an oil cooler. I realize the car was built to a budget (and was still more expensive than originally promised) but couldn't they at least offer an oil cooler as an option?

The vast majority of stock sports cars can't handle the stresses of a track day in 100 degree weather. The vast majority of twins will never touch a track. On a cool day at the track, the stock cooling system is sufficient. I think you just don't get it, which is why you don't own a twin.

Completely agree with what was said about the oil issues and the absolute NEED for better tires. I recommend to anyone I meet with a stock car to bump up to MPSS tires when they get a chance if they aren't going for a track car.

I've gotten oil temps in the mid 230 range just doing a quick 1 minute blitz through a short pass back and forth on a 70 degree night. Hell, just last night I did the same pass in the same temperature and it got to 225 with a hair longer wait between running it back.

I sit in traffic in the 205-210 range on a 90 degree day and I toy with the AC to get the coolant temps back to the 190 area and that sheds some oil heat too. Ideally this car would have come with the factory oil cooling option and a slightly thicker radiator to compensate for the added heat from the oil.

Porsche designs their cars to run at the track. They are opening (or already opened; haven't kept track of this) a Porsche driving school just down the freeway from me. Bone stock cars with factory fills being pushed by teachers and students. It's just how they do business and keep a pedigree like theirs.

My car already matches my EvoX when it comes to cornering speed and surpasses feel and all I've done are wheels and tires.

I do lust after the new Cayman though. Hell of a looker

Yes that's true. High oil temperatures might lead to power loss as the ECU retards the timing. However, we mentioned that BRZ is not a competition car. It is car that you can drive in a track and start learning or have fun. It wasn't easy for the factory to install an oil cooler. It sounds simple, but there are issues with the extra oil lines going around the bumper. This causes extra problems in a frontal crash or even an oil leakage in normal conditions because of the high pressures. There was already a TSB for all the Gazoo 86/BRZ Racing cars.
