Nice!!! I see where my problem lies. I'm not hitting second at all. I need to drop in 2nd after the straight, fish bowl and the hair pin. I would keep it in third and only go in forth on the straights

Oh! I used to not use the 2nd much, but it helped me to get a faster time.

You are 10,000% wrong. The problem is you don't have a track dedicated fuel source.
You see, the Sourpatch Kids give the driver the needed simple carb source which provide an extra 4 kilojoules of power, thus peaking driver alertness and decreases reaction time by 11teen milliseconds.

I didn't go to this event, but the last one I went to was CCW as well and my best time was 1:35.6 on a stock car with just summer tires and wheels. looks like I have a long way to go. if I knew about this event sooner, I definitely would have gone. how late did you stay?

I was also told by a friend to treat the bowl as two turns instead of one big one. does anyone else do that and what are your thought about the differences between treating it as two turns compared to a single big turn? I didn't have big enough balls to go all out on the turn like he said because I was afraid of going off track lol.

I treat it like 2 turns. I go in hot in 4th, as I start the first part I down shift into 3rd the when I hit the breaking point I go into 2nd. Best way I found.

You should have came out! The track was really empty. haha That's very rare for Extremespeed.

Me and my three other FRS/BRZ friends finished our 4th session around 10PM and left.

The fastest way to go through the Bowl on our car is take it as two turns. Enter in 4th, brake and shift down to 3rd and exit.

I think those really good guys in 86CUP guys brake really late like after they enter the bowl haha. They said that 2nd or 3rd gear both work but it depends on your car set up.

My personal best was 1:33.7 or something with my wheels and tires back in February. Last Saturday was my first time there with my Tein Street Flex coilovers. Felt good. Wish I got .2 off to make it 1:31, but I'm happy regardless.

Here's the video of my 2nd session:

That modified S2K didn't know what he was doing.... he spun out right after he let me pass in the front straight going into turn 1. Jeez.

yeah, my friend told me to not brake until halfway in the turn, lol. he said to turn in and go straight towards the 3 outer cones while braking, then turn in again right before you hit the cones, then clip the apex with the cone there. it was actually pretty scary since I was carrying a bit of speed going into the turn lol. I never fully committed, but next time I go to a CCW I'm gonna fully commit and see how fast I can go. I think it's the bowl where I can shave off a lot of time.

Yep. It is scary, I never go that fast in the bowl. haha

Got some suggestions from 86CUP drivers. I need to do better in turn 11, 10, the bowl, and 4.
