I have crammed all sorts of weird and wonderful things in my trunk (well my car's trunk) and never felt it was to small for my needs. Not a minivan or pickup truck but fine for what it is.

I never understood complaints about the trunk size on a twin myself. On a trip to North Carolina to visit family I managed to get 2 suitcases, 2 laptop bags, a crap ton of Christmas presents, 3 gallons of Turkey Hill Iced Tea, 3 bottles of vodka and a sewing machine without even folding the seats down. Actually, all of that and a huge bag of Herr's potato chips. (My brother misses some things about PA.)

I've actually packed quite a bit for trips. We've gone to FL, IA, and KY for different things, and there was plenty of room, provided you thought it out.
